Brain Tales: Stroke of insight - Part 1

This is a video from TED.com that I think you will find moving and inspirational --- one, because I did and two, because a number of my clients and readers have already shared the link with me, being sure I would want to see it. It's almost 20 minutes, but I think you'll find it gives you food for thought that's worth every minute.

Jill Bolte Tayloris a neuroanatomist who realized one morning that she was experiencing a massive stroke. As it happened -- as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one, speech, movement, understanding -- she studied and remembered every moment. This is a powerful story of recovery and awareness -- of how our brains define us and connect us to the world and to one another.

There are some comments I want to make about what she shares, but I don't want to intrude on her moving story and inspirational ideas, so I'm going to stay out of her way until a separate "Part 2" article later this week.

Please do share what you think and feel from hearing her -- what shifts for you?
